It is but they pledged to bring it back up if they could reach 5,000 pledges of people contacting their local lawmakers (or something like that), which they just hit. So I imagine it'll be back up shortly
 
Im a HUGE marine bio nerd and I found the base image in one of the wallpaper apps, and its by FAR my favorite. I did a little color changing just to get some variety!

Is there a way to merge the wallpaper photos with the stock ones on the Nexus? What's the file path for that?

Or is anyone OCD like me and has a particular way that they load them onto their phone and organize them and would like to share?

The stock ones are packed inside the Launcher.apk file (they used to be)
 
hey i am thinking about using photo shop to make some Wallpapers. some HD ones.. what size do these need to be to fit correctly on the phone

I make a folder on my sd called wallpapers.

1440 x 1280. There is a box dead center that is 720 x 1280 that will be your portrait size for center screen.

The black box in the first one is coming up as the correct size when I put it into photoshop.

I did resize the other one. 2 slightly different versions. One is scaled as it and filled in with black. The other I tweaked to fit by changing the scaling.
(Squiggle 1 is the tweaked; Squiggle 2 is just scaled to fit)

is there any way that someone can optimize this for the galaxy nexus. when i set it as my wallpaper. it gets blurry. thanks in advance.

Confirm that. In fact if you take a look in system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-nodpi the "default_wallpaper.jpg" has that resolution. :D
