Help Unread email for Corp Sync

I switched from my Itouch to the Droid X but an having issues with the email icon not displaying the unread email count. I can open Messaging and see the Corp Icon and it shows the number of unread emails. Can I add an Icon for my Corporate Sync account to the desktop so that I know that I have unread emails?

FYI: I did try touchdown but it has the same issue.

I have been looking for a way to get the icon to show the number of unread emails with no luck as well, it appears to be a simple shortcut to the mail app with no additional functionality.

You are correct the icon will not show unread emails.

It is the main thing that I miss about the Apple product since it has such great Exchange integration. I do software support for a living so I have spent a week with no luck trying to figure it out.
