Unread Posts

Sorry just another suggestion (i know im probably a pain) but on another forum I mod at they have a Unread Posts link in the welcome box like this

Welcome, NiNi.
6 Unread Posts since your last visit.
You last visited: Today at 10:25 AM Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 4.

is this something you would think about adding? it is quite convenient.

It would say:

Dear NiNi, 3428 unread posts since your last visit.



If you use the favorites column on left, it does tell you over there how many unreads there are within your favs. Can click to view.

thank you for pointing that out to me, but thats only on the front page, it would be WAY more convenient on every page

EDIT: that only shows from the last visit, the one at the top I am talking about will show new posts, i just thought it would be easier then clicking the drop down menu

I thought the favorites box used to be on every page but cause issues with displacing the forums when viewed in mobile form.

NiNi is tlaking about the "unread post and rep comments" mod created by the vBulletin master Paul M.

It is a great feature, i use it on all my sites. but like stated above we do have the favorites forums thing, that works well, and the new posts dropdown will give the same results as the unread post link your referring to NiNi.

I tend to agree the 2 click is a little...tedious (i feel lazy typing that but it's true lol)
