Root unrevoke error need some help

hey guys i just got my evo 4g and having problem with the unrevoke app i keep gettin this error "failed to flash recovery image" is their an way to fix this

What is your android version? If its 2.2...Unrevoked will not work. Are you using Unrevoked3 or 4? Go to Menu>Settings>About Phone>Software information to find out.

It will only work if you have Android Version 2.1 and Software# 1.47 I think or older. For Froyo 2.2...you will have to wait for the developers to find the exploits in order for you to root.
