i see they have an update out. I just rooted with 3.3 3 days ago. Do i just run this new 3.31 over my old one? Will i have to reinstall my apps and stuff?
Unrevoked occasionally releases minor updates to fix problems in the rooting process. Sometimes some people have problems with a release, and can't root. These minor updates are released to fix such issues along with some other minor problems. That being said, once you have root, you have root. Period. There is no reason to unroot unless you need to take the phone in for service. There is no need to root again, either. It would be like trying to turn on a light that's already turned on. It's either on or off.
Now, it is sort of important to look at the changelog:
In this case, there actually was something that sort of impacts those who rooted with previous versions. That's sort of rare. In any case, do not rerun unrevoked if already rooted, ever. All that changed that affects you is that they switched to clockwork 2.6 instead of 3.0. So, I recommend that, for now, you use ROM manager to flash clockwork 2.6 if you currently have clockwork 3.0.x.x. A lot of people have problems flashing certain things with 3.0, which is why unrevoked decided to downgrade. You can read about why here:
