I need help rooting my evo. the driver on on revoked does not work for me can someone please help me root my phone so I can get the internet un revoke says plug in the device and when I do nothing happens

Did you follow the instructions on unrevoked.com?

What OS are you using on your computer?

What exact error are you getting?

Are you sure the phone is plugged in, in usb debugging mode?

Ok well I used unrevoked 3.3 on my 2 week old evo and i had great sucsess! but when i click on the new superusers permissions icon i just get a black screen... Is that normal? should i try to reflash again?? and also how do i go about overclocking the evo while im using it and underclocking when im not?? thanks for any replies.

That's what I did. Don't forget to make a nandroid backup.

Also a few people have asked about Hboot drivers. I used the existing hboot drivers that I installed before I found out the previous version of unrevoked wouldn't work for me with my updated evo. They are the drivers on wiki. didn't download anything new.

I just noticed that unrevoked released the update to root my phone with hboot 2.02. I'm going to attempt to run this now, and thanks to you, I didn't have to spend wasted time either searching for an answer, or reinstalling the same ones over again for nothing. Thanks!

I believe you download the app called "wireless tether" its in the app marketplace but you do need to do the revoked root first.

I am only rooted for now... only using Wireless Tether and Titanium.

I think I will wait for the final version honestly. Had my old phone rooted but when i sent it back and got new one with 2.02 figured i would just wait for the final to come out.
