Root unrEVOked vs toast root

To my knowledge, there are two different teams working on root for the EVO right? Should their methods accomplish the same thing? or is one rooting method better than the other? I guess I will wait until the unrEVOked team releases theirs...

Root is Root.

One method might be easier, one might be faster.

Personally, I'm waiting until FULL Root is achieved. Currently they have only rooted /data, not /system. So basically all Root lets you do atm is install a custom recovery.

At least that's how I understand it.

Gotcha--makes sense. Gonna wait for full root as well. Thanks for the clarification.

wrong.

toast root allows for a custom recovery which in tun allows you to flash custom ROMs (froyo, etc)

unrevoked does not allow this.

Exactly. Had to switch to Toast, so I could flash my custom ROM I created with the Basic Android Kitchen .53 I got from XDA.

If you aren't flashing a custom ROM then unrevoked method is probably your best choice because its so easy.
