Root Unrevoked3 installed, now what?

Opeth

Newbie
I successfully installed Unrevoked3. It was a breeze on a MAC! The main reason I did this install was to run Wireless Tether for Root Users. This is my first Android based device. What else will having Unrevoked3 installed allow me to do?

Thanks.

check out the setCPU app or Overclock widget for root users both found in the market. either one can really help with battery life, especially when the phone is idle & display off. GL & congrats!

I am rooted with unrevoked 3 and I have overclock widget but mine will not go any faster than 998 even when i set it to 120. I am very new to this. Am I missing something?

I would prefer Setcpu. Setcpu allows u to disable perflock. (What is need to increase battery life) On going above 998 not sure on that.

Hey on the last part of installing unrevoked 3 when it says done on the computer screen, what option do u select on the phone?

I'm a little lost on what I'm to do now. I flashed the Baked Snacks rom, but I wasn't too impressed with it. It seemed to run slower and freeze up more than unrevoked, and it was becoming a pain installing everything again.

Unrevoked is running pretty good. It seems faster and runs all my widgets faster without hardly any fc's.

But what now? What apps are good for a rooted phone? Is it pointless to have a rooted phone without installing any roms?
