Root Unroot andriod 2.1 with unrevoked3 ...HELP

I see a lot of thread here and there, but there is no clear instructions on what to do. I just need to unroot my evo (uninstalling unrevoked3 and restarting DOES NOT WORK btw), so that i can update to froyo. does anyone know how?

Why do you want to unroot?

You can stay rooted and flash a stock rooted froyo rom and it will be exactly like the OTA update but you will still be rooted

you can just flash a 2.2 rom, you dont have to unroot unless you want to. Also, most of the files you may need are over on xda, and they seem to be down at the moment

Rooting isnt for everyone..
Whether you dont want it or you gotta go in for service, you can unroot.

Ive done it a few times. You need a PC to open the .exe file you download and it will wipe your phone and give it back to you unrooted and like the day you bought it.

surfologist the links you posted are great. im downloading the ROM now. I didnt want to unroot, but i also didnt want the leaked version. Now i get the best of both lol
