Root Unroot before taking in to verizon?

I'm giving the droid to my wife today. Phone is rooted. She likes the rom I am using. Should I unroot before taking in to verizon? has anyone had any issues with this? I saw there were some similar threads regarding this matter but they were really old and talked about verizon taking the phone which doesn't sound right.

what are you taking it in for?

i ask because if your only taking it in to switch or something, it doesnt matter at all.

If you are just taking it in for the ESN swap, you can do that from the comfort of your home and be finished in minutes.
