Root Unroot Help

So I rooted the stock 2.1 awhile ago, uninstalled a bunch of stuff i shouldn't have so then back to stock out of the box 2.1. I then deleted the update.zip off the phone because I figured the phone had not installed it with the fresh 2.1 flashing and showed no superuser. I'm now running 2.2 rooted by the Z4 app. When I try to reinstall packages on the boot menu I get "failed to open /mnt/interal_sd/update.zip then it aborts installation.
How can i fix this so I don't get this annoying message. It doesn't affect the phone's performance I just want to be able to reinstall packages. I have the original update.zip for 2.1 in my e-mail so I can easily put it back on the phone, but won't that mess up the phone because it's designed for rooting 2.1? If I need to flash back to 2.1 and then uninstall or something I can do that. Help please. Thanks.

So...are you trying to unroot your phone is that it? I believe the z4 app has an unroot button within the app. I haven't been flashing for very long so I've never had to reinstall packages, except after odin + CWM to flash a new ROM (which I believe reinstalling packages just gives you the CWM recovery instead of the default one). I'm probably not the best person to ask, but I'm kind of confused about what you are trying to do.

I was trying to get the root file update.zip for 2.1 off my phone by deleting it. I deleted it after flashing back to stock 2.1 then flashed 2.2. Is the update.zip file different for rooting 2.1 and 2.2? I'm not sure how to get that error message to go away. I'm not trying to unroot because the z4 does have an unroot button, just trying to get that error message to go away in boot menu.
