I want to unroot. I did it before gingerbread was released just perfectly. I updated to gingerbread when it officially came out, and then i got bored again. So, I followed http://androidforums.com/incredible-all-things-root/427344-how-root-2-3-4-downgrade-get-s-off.html up through step 2 in order to root on gingerbread, because the process that I used to root on froyo found at How-To: Root and Install Android 2.2 Froyo On the HTC Droid Incredible didn't work. The first time I unrooted, I used a very helpful video on YouTube by applepwnz (Justin Murphy). In this process, I flashed a file that turned my S-ON and then I booted up into HBOOT with PB31IMG.zip on my SD. It asked if I wanted to apply the update or whatever, and I said yes. Perfectly seamless process, factory reset with Android 2.2. Now like I said, I installed the gingerbread update when HTC pushed it to me, rooted, and now I want to unroot. I'm currently running Cyanogenmod 7.1, Android 2.3.7.
I tried to unroot using the same process as before, but I got an error.
Main version is older.
