Hi, do you think you can help me? i have a Thunderbolt that i rooted about a year ago with revolutionary. ITs not gingerbread.
Worked great for awhile. about 6 months ago it wouldnt go of the boot screen.(I changed the boot screen logo) Ive tried to recover it and clear cache etc. But i get errors,

E: can't open (or mount) /cache/recovery log and last_log

I also get "No app2sd partition found."
Can i try to unroot it to fix this or is there a different way to fix my issue??
Please help!

Thank you!!:)

RUU:
[RUU/ROM] Final Gingerbread OTA Build 2.11.605.5 (Untouched and Rooted versions) - xda-developers

it doesnt matter, pretty much if your screen turns on the ruu will put u back to the latest gingerbread everything fully working so u can try rev again or leave it stock if u want

Welcome to the forums!

I don't think I'll have the answer but you never know.

A few questions please -

Did the problem happen before or after changing your boot screen?

Have you changed your SD card? (Apps2sd moves apps there...)

Do you recall which recovery you have?

Sounds like a bad SD card, not a problem from being rooted. (An app that has to have root could have done something to the card, but just having the phone rooted shouldn't cause those problems. Until an app asks for root, a rooted phone works the same way an unrooted phone does.)

Installation Instructions

• After downloading it, rename it to "PG05IMG.zip"
-Note: If you're doing this from a Windows machine, make sure you don't rename the file "PG05IMG.zip.zip," as Windows hides known file extensions by default.
• Drop the file on the root of the SD Card
• Turn off your device
• Hold Volume Down + Power to reboot into the bootloader -- the file should automatically be detected and the flashing process will begin.
• Wait for your device to complete the process and reboot

it happened after i changed my bootloader image and after i downloaded music. thats all i can remember it was a long time ago. I tried a different sd card. I get the same messages.

wow u can merge posts? thats cool.
well the root of ur sd card is the first folder that comes up in Windows Explorer or nautilus/pcfileman (linux) when u click on ur sdcard folder

yeah it is pretty awesome to be a mod:smokingsomb:

jk but you have to be careful when you say folder. the root of the sd card is just the top level......it is not in any folder........just on your sd card.
