Root Unroot queries

Hi,I need to clear some doubts abt unrooting,almost similar scenerio.

i think my front speakers are dead.from emiui 12.11 to miui-au 12.24 to oxygen still not able to resolve the issue.thus need to unroot to stock to see whether it is working there or have to send it for warranty.

The phone originally came with:

So my qn is when i see miui-au build no is :MIUI_AU 0.12.24 R2,what's the build no as in 2.xx.xxx??Or miui have their own build?

I have already downloaded RUU_Bravo_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.13.707.1_Radio_32.4 4.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed.exe

can i use this?

Another confusion from me is goldcard.My phone is bought from local carrier(Singtel,SG).does that means it is network branded and goldcard is needed?

I intend to use the unroot method of booting into hboot and running the ruu thru fastboot.can i do this?

Miui is stock android, so the build number will not match the HTC build numbers. So yes, your RUU should work.

You could always flash a sense custom rom with a lower build than 2.13 to be sure the RUU works but with Miui, just boot into fastboot mode (from off, hold back and press power) connect to USB and run th e RUU

Aren't all these Cyanogen ROM's? It might be a Cyanogen issue. Its a long shot but have you tried flashing a non Cyanogen based ROM?

i can confirm its a hardware problem cos now i am on oxygen 1.0.4.speakers are still not working.

so i do not need to use a goldcard to run the 2.17 RUU?just boot in hboot,connect via fastboot and double click the RUU exe and let it do its job?
(i used unrevoked 3.21)

I'd say turn the phone off, turn it on again holding the back button to get into FASTBOOT. Once on, connect to the PC and when it says 'FASTBOOT USB' run the RUU.

It should work

You don't need a gold card to flash a ROM that was originally on your phone, but you can use it anyway as it'll be ignored
