Root unroot to return?

I thought I would need to unroot it, but no I have actually returned my phone twice due to some sort of mechanical malfunction. The store representatives didn't even check the phone. I did a factory reset on the device but the root software stays.
 
If AT&T checks the phone for some reason and they see it is rooted they will just charge you $600 since rooting the phone voids the warranty; tatiana320 got lucky, personally since it only takes a minute to unroot, I would.
 
I'd unroot just in case. However, in my experience, the people working as reps for those phone companies know extremely little about phones, and whatnot. I'm sure that the majority of them don't even know what rooting is, or what the superuser is. They'll know about jailbreaking, since it's so popular, but not rooting.

So ya, I'd expect you to be safe if you didn't unroot it, but if I were you, I'd unroot it anyways.

What method did you use to root the phone. SUper one click has a button that says "UnRoot" and aRoot has an unRoot.bat that removes root. One click and you are done. I would also make sure to do a factory reset for good measure
