Help Unrooted Desire HD stuck on HBOOT

Hi all,

My wife has a Desire HD, unrooted. Yesterday, for no reason whatsoever it played up, and after trying to reboot it is now stuck on the HBOOT screen. Taking out the battery does nothing, it immediately goes back to that hboot screen. Power and volume buttons don't do anything.

I've spent ages on Google and forums seeking a solution but this problem only seems to happen to rooted phone.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

From HBoot, have you tried a factory reset?

How do you do that if the buttons are all non-responsive?

I think you're going to need to send it in for repair, sorry.
