(unrooted) How do you Tether?

sure there is. try Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot from the playstore.

FoxFi works fine for me on the Note 2.

So owners dont think they have to download anything,

International GT-N7100 version has portable wifi hotspot/ USB tether and Bluetooth tether built in.

Settings-wireless&networks-More settings.

Im stuck on a plan, but i have been passing my phones down to my wife, so she still has the unlimited plan...with that said she just got the JB update on the S3 and I was using the FoxFi free and it works great. For Christmas we got a few Tablets and the free version only allowed me to used up to 15mb, i didnt notice a time limit though, so im guessing which ever comes first?!?!? Either way i purchased the upgrade for $6.00 and thne family was able to stream Netflix from it...two movies! I know im talking about the S3, but I figured I throw my expirence of FoxFi out ya.
