Root unrooting right now...

Hmm, I wonder if the ICS rom is the problem then?

I was hoping the 0x0409.ini would be something you could just download and fix but its not looking like thats a possibility lol.

thats a file you can download? didnt really understand the instructions in that post
 
Well if its the ics rom that is causing the problem I would try to reroot and flash a sense rom then unroot. If its a computer problem then id wait till you can try on a different computer.
 
so used a different laptop and the program runs fine except i get this error message now from the program....

i just cant win, once again tried restarting computer and phone, when i plugged the phone in for the first time the computer said it installed the drivers bla bla

error 170 usb connection error

That apears to be a driver issue. go here http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html
under before root click show and download the htc driver and install to computer and try again.
