Would it be safe to do a factory reset AND delete everything on my sd card? And what would be the easiest way to get velocity back up and running? The reason for this is because the phone has been so buggy lately..ie no pic msgs, alot of fc's, and just plain out slow. Truth is i think i F with it too much:D.

Save the stuff you know you need to your pc then reformat your sdcard and put it back on, then wipe data/cache/dalvikcache and reflash velocity.

Is there anything i NEED? Don't have any pics and my apps i can download again.

for a fresh flash there's nothing the phone will need. just you pics, downloads, files and other things like that. a lot of apps will create directories and such that even after uninstalling remain and never get used, check the DATA folder and ANDROID folder, i know for example fancy widgets saves skins there. but it really about what you want to save. personally i have alot of pics, videos, files and other things like app data, backups like nandroids or titanium backup, music, and some zips for different things like themes, no clock. but if you dont have anything like that, then you dont need to save anything. but i would reformat and reflash if you are having troubles. then when you reinstall you apps dont do it all at once so if it an app givin you trouble you can catch it

Just like he said. If there's nothing you want to keep (pics, songs, movies) then go ahead and format SD card (from a PC or Mac or Linux box, whatever you choose) and wipe cache, Dalvik-Cache and Data, reflash Velocity.
