Unthankful/Dislike/Thumbs Down

Don't make me probate you, Shiv!

Ewwww, that just sounds wrong on so many levels.....

Another point worth bringing up:
Just because you don't see something publically addressed doesn't mean it hasn't been dealt with. The majority of moderation on AF goes on behind the scenes via PM, as most members are receptive to a softly-softly approach and quickly take note of a quiet word in their ear. At other times a simple comment posted in a thread can be enough to avert trouble.

i had no ida
that OTD became a moderator :)

Well it's good to see there are now more people that
are moderating now
Sure is! :D
We're really excited to have her on the team!

lol@ Iowa...

I think I am going to donate to the site.
Aside from a few issues, it's a great community
and i've actually turned into a geek...surprisingly :)

What exactly do the donations go towards?

did somebody recently change the meaning of the word probate ?

This whole thing around that word is particularly amusing to me; my grand father was a Probate Judge in Kentucky right at the turn of the century (my dad had stories about various "quarrels" in those days).

depends on whether you like to be 'punished' or not...

this thread has seriously gone into the gutter...we're a buncha dirty ol pervs. thank god.

See... now wouldn't that Thumbs Down be helpful! ;)

hahahaha, jkjkjk, I've been cracking up!

Yeah, and she won't give you infractions. She'll just hit you with those vamp teeth

*hides*

So would I be "Sharpening my mod teeth" instead of "Breaking out the mod stick or ban hammer"? ;)

To actually be on topic (odd for this thread):

After seeing a little bit of how things actually run here, I would have to agree that a "no thanks" or "anti-thanks" buttons wouldn't be necessary and really would cause more harm than good.

Congratulation for being a MOD OTD!!!! That should be your new nick name! MODOTD! lol I was wondering when the admin gang would make you one...knew it'd be in due time ;)

hmm...so that I'm not being completely off topic...I think how the Forums work is great as is. :D If you have an issue with a person/post, you tell the admin/mod and have them deal with the person/post. Especially how great the guide/mods/admin are at responding to you. If this wasn't the case then I'd say yay to the tumb down, no thanks button. Plus it seems that there'll be more issues/problems with than without the no thanks button.

Not gonna happen... lol :p

1.) only one lady is allowed to bite me, and OTD isn't her (sorry OTD, but yer a bit TOO pale, even for me)
2.) ive had the mod bug, and the leadership bug, and just about every other bug related to being responsible for other people. i'm much happier when nothing depends on me in my free time. get enough of that at work, yall are welcome to it. helping's one thing, being responsible for other people's moronacity (since we're making up words here anyways), and making sure it doesnt affect a wide group of people, is not for people as cranky as i.

on-topic - i suppose we've beat this horse to death and the consensus seems to be that the button is a bad idea. my last two cents is this:
dont forget to reconsider every so often. maybe itll be a better idea down the pike

FYI
lol i've now got my friends using the word probate

you know 16 and 17 year old boys are like 5 year olds
and laugh at anything that sound remotely dirty lolzzz
