Untouched virgin android

[The-Stig]

Hi all,

Newbie here but not new to the Android World.

I was just wondering what the differences are really like between an untouched version of gingerbread, and a manufacturers tweaked version.

It depends on which manufacturer touched the virgin. HTC has Sense, Samsung has TouchWiz, Motorola has Motoblur, some manufacturers just add a few widgets and are done with it. There are plenty of youtube video demos of these skins and vanilla android.

lots of bloat and UIs that slow down the phone. no phone is as smooth as Vanilla Android.

Disagree. I would not trade Sense for vanilla if you paid me. In fact, my next Android phone will be HTC just because of Sense and how much I love it.
