Help Unwanted daily app notification

Since google play was introduced to my note (no idea if this is the cause though), I keep getting a daily notification which is a green cross. When I open it, it is battery optimizer from //get.batteryoptimizer.net. The app then downloads.

How can I stop this?

Bloody intrusive developers.

i also have this notifications but i guess it has something to do with an app installed because even before google play was introduced, i already have this notification. it does not, however, downloads automatically. i just ignored it and hit clear on the notification bar.
 
Download Airpush Detector from Google Play.

Run it and it will tell you if you have any pushed apps.

This should take care of your problem.

thanks for tip. All its found is Hotmail and GPSFIX though?! I suspect from reviews its GPS Fix - going to remove it and see if it goes away.
 
Mine came from a ringtone creating app that seemed legit.

The download doesn't install automatically; you need to go to the downloaded file and manually install it so this isn't much of a threat, just delete the download without installing.

As per the earlier post, airsoft detector will find the culprit and offers to uninstall it for you. Not really difficult to clean but a bit annoying.
