how do u use it ? i start out ok but i dont know what i need to down load so it can work can i have some help please

You need to get the system ui file and framework-res file. You get this by extracting the zip file of your rom assuming you have a custom rom

As star said you need to upload systemUI. All and framework-Res.Apk;

systemui.apk is located in /system/app >

Framework-Res.apk is located in /system/framework >

Now, if you have root explorer or any app that can access the system files then you can copy those files (systemui and framework-res) to your computer and then upload to the upload section of uot kitchen. At the right side of the page you'll notice a option where it says "upload system files" you click there and then upload the files that you have copied to your computer (systemui and framework-res). Also make sure you have the update-binary set to EMMC since that is the comparable binary for the esteem.

Notice all this is done after you have chosen and selected all your desired mods and customization. Also when choosing mods and stuff make sure you select the hdpi screen size because that is our phone resolution. Cheers and good luck.

Ohh yeah. After you submit the work you "cooked" . Then wait for your pickup at the pickup page. It might take some time, be patient. To install it to the phone you simply flash the uot blah blah 1-7-1 .zip file through CWR as if you were to flash a ROM. No wipes required so you dont need to wipe anything.

Good luck!!

thank u both i got just working on how to make my phone come to life now thank yall very much

you welcome. a little thank bottum wont hurt... lol j/k (not, im serious). lol naw

well yeah, im glad you are up and running, get in mind that the icons for status bar expect the battery will not appear unless you have background data enable...

Good to know about the background data (I never shut it off anyway).
Quick question. I've used UOT and made some changes. Status bar stuff changes... However I can't get the notification screen to be transparent or change at all!? Anything I should be doing? The only thing that changed was the color when I pressed on a notification.

Let me update you guys!!! Apperantly you can use MTD binary ( I believe) and the status bar icons will show without disabling background data. Only things that seems not to change are the power bar notification, the carrier bar, the footer, and header from notification... well as for me Anyways

does any one knows if one an uot kitchen file has been flash, if there is a possible way to return to the phone stage prior to the uot kitchen file being flash?
this is using a stock out of a sprint store phone

First of all. Did you backup you previous rom ? Or do you even have CWR flashed.?

Shiny thanks I have a theme but I can't upload my framework and system UI apks I think the server is down cause it takes forever for a preview to show and for my uploads it says pending

I've used uot for a while..on the Esteem when changing the noification pull down settings (header, notifications, power settings icons, notification background, etc) nothing gets change. Whereas mostly everything else will.

Has anyone else experienced this on the Esteem?

I'm selecting emmc binary option. Should i use MTD? or would that not even change the reason why the notification pull down menu graphics don't change?

Anybody have any advice or tips?

Thanks!

Yea the two things that I haven't seen change with my stock rom and mts kernel is the notification bar and lockscreen. Oh well

Edit: I used mtd and it works fine

:D thxs. i was looking for advice related to UOT. not the obvious ! :P also, what kind of things can i change using it?

What screen resolution do I use?

NVM. 480x800 hdpi...

Yes. Although it seems insane , make sure you make a backup EACH time you are going to cook your phone. Some mods may give you bootloops and whatnot.
