Update 4.0.4 impressions

Just got the update on my galaxy tab 2. Immediately upon booting up your greeted with a Samsung account sign up. After getting through that you will notice a few interface changes. The setting button that's accessible from the on screen buttons now has blue diagonal lines through it. the white font has a black outline to it. The button at the top right corner has also been slightly stylized. Pressing the volume button now pops up a slightly different look.

They also included the droplet sound everytime you click something.

Some new apps and Widgets were added.

Can't say anything about the performance just yet.

Overall I like it. Except the droplet sound. Preferred the more subtle click sound.
 
One thing I noticed, after the update my connection to my wifi suddenly drips. It says I have full bars, but no data gets downloaded. Play store stops working, the browser, YouTube. Anything. I have to turn the wifi on and off again to get it to work.
 
For the WiFi issues, I would definitely reset WiFi connection and 're enter wpa/wep key again. All else fails reboot modem/ switch whatever. Sometimes they just need to freshen up info

This is a common issue. However, it did not happen to my tab. As I understand it, just going into Manage Applications and clearing the cache for the Alarm Clock fixes this.
 
I just got my tab last night, and i used it for a little while before updating. The first change i noticed was the keyboard. The new one snugly, in want the old one back!
 
It was working fine this morning then I went ahead with the update. Once I got it up again the first thing I noticed was that both facebook and twitter shut down if I try to type a message:mad: Plus I can't install flash in google play

Guys, any help you can give is appreciated. I am ready to spit nails, why can't they leave it as is! I don't know all the tricks so please be patient with me and I don't have a SD card installed yet so if I need to purchase one, please let me know. Thanks!
 
had to back up everything via kies and then do a factory reset.

good news is that it reset and rebooted with 4.0.4 and all is working now.
 
I just bought the Galaxy S2 and it is used for both home & work. Before the upgrade my Outlook Exchange email was great, after the upgrade I continually get the error that I need to update my security settings. I've removed & added the account again and each time I will get maybe one or 2 emails before getting the error again. My settings are exactly the same as before the upgrade, nothing has changed. My Google email account is fine, it's only the Outlook exchange that's affected.

Any ideas?
 
Ever since the 4.0.4 update my tablet has become super smooth. No stuttering or hesitation in any apps at all like it was before. Wifi performance also seems to have been somewhat boosted. All the while it seems that battery life has been extended slightly. After 4 hours of watching videos on youtube with my nephews with volume / brightness maxed and my battery is sitting at 40%. Not too shabeh! Can't wait to see what JB does for this tablet. ^_^
