I've been running it for well over a week but I flashed the factory image. It's also received 1 OTA bug fix update so far. I really like it.

You can do it manually, instructions and downloads here
Or an easier way is to use wugfresh nexus toolkit from here

P.s. wugs toolkit will automatically download all files and dependencies for you.
Doing it manually with adb and fastboot is fairly easy as well, but wugs kit will give you a little JumpStart.

But the question we all want to know is.. how well does the nexus 7 cope with android6

Just as smooth as 5.1.1 and with better battery life. The new Doze feature is amazing. According to Gsam my standby time is 10 days. With lollipop it was only 3. It's well worth the update.

It runs great the performance seems better than lollipop so far so good
