An update to the market is available if anyone is interested. It adds a +1 button to apps and also allows for setting a pin for all app purchases. Install like any other apk. Select "replace" current application with your favorite file manager.

I'm running it and haven't had any issues with it thus far

I got it from DroidLife a little while ago too, no issues. You need to enable pin first before the option to restrict purchases becomes available. Very cool, imo.
 
I didn't list that about the PIN because it's pretty self explanatory when you go into settings seeing as how the "use PIN for purchases" is grayed out until you "set ot change a PIN"
 
Cool will try this out later today, now it just needs to get themed (I'm a fan of blacked out apps or the black-n-bold theme by the bowsers)
 
I'm running Burn and the new market is still blacked out in areas. If the market updated automatically and I didn't know it was updated I'd have no idea put it that way. It looks exactly the same, but with the addition of the +1 and PIN

Haha, well it felt like a half hour. Alright maybe a minute or two. I do like it though. Now day drinking! I like the sound of that.
 
I haven't tried the apk or the zip. In the past I have had more issues trying to get a themed apk to install over a zip. I would suggest using titanium to freeze the market updater, and then try to install the apk as normal, if you cant get it to install then use the thunderbolt zip
 
Good to see they finally did something decent with market visually. I don't mind losing black skin on it.

Maybe some day they'll let us perma ban apps by developer or by a string (fart, ringtone, etc) in the app name. I like to wander around through the less popular apps, but the flood of screen scraping web skin apps people are putting up continues to be an obstacle to real content. Lately I browse apps via the web market with my PC and do push installs. There's too much garbage to scroll past. Plus I own 80% of the paid apps on the first 10 screens and about the same with free apps. Why do I need to scroll past apps I have when I'm shopping for new apps? I can rate and comment them from My Apps. Makes no sense. I don't care how popular they are, I only care if I like them.
