Root update android version

Try Redux 2 if you like the general feel of your current rom. It's using 2.3.5 as its base.

Don't worry about the TEST bit. It's stable. Not had one problem since I flashed it.
 
Whats battery life like on redux 2? i flashed it a while ago and had to go back to 1.2 as it was around the 2hour mark (compared to 2days with 1.2)
 
Am using the standard kernel and its the best rom I've used for battery life. Then again I've only ever used Sense roms before.

A normal working day's use (7am-7pm) sees me get home with around 50% - 60% of the battery left. This is checking emails, updating apps, checking twitter etc and a few calls/texts. Nothing heavy but not leaving it alone either
 
yes i did try it to see if it would improve it (everyone seem to be saying batery life was short) i see its a new build to the one i flashed now so might be worth trying again!

No, the reason I asked is because you're NOT supposed to use ManU with Redux 2. They're not quite compatible as I found out the other day. I had a similar problem with battery life.

I found Redux2 to be great for battery life with the stock kernel.
 
I've been using Redux 2 for about two weeks or so and have had amazing battery life, can easily get two days out of it before a charge.

I tend to get the same battery life across all the roms I've tried. mainly due to
increased use from playing with phone too much ;-)

I'm currently on cm7 and really liking it. yesterday with moderate use my phone lasted
about 12 hours before needing charge. I'm thinking that maybe my battery isn't as
good as other peeps ?

cm7 battery life is worse than sense lol
i was on it for a while, i was lucky to see through a day
 
:-D not so for me. certainly no worse than stock.
my worse battery life so far was with dGB and manu! go figure.
as that combo is supposed to be the best :-\

but as I used to have iPhone which was equally poor battery I'm used to keeping
a charger handy at all times ;-)
