"update disabled because of your network status"

I occassionally get this message when I unlock my screen. Does anyone know what update it is referring to? Facebook? OTA updates? Appbrain? Is there a way to fix this?

The only things I have set to auto sync are gmail and facebook. Facebook is only set to once a day, though.

Go into Market and go to Menu > Downloads. From there it will show you what updates are available for your apps, if any. No idea otherwise though. You can go manually run all the system updates if you want, under About Phone.

I have my weather disabled. I was thinking that maybe it was layars or something that uses the GPS that was running in the background, as that is disabled. I turned off update notifications in the Market app as a test, because I solely use Appbrain for updates.

mine is unchecked. I assume I should change that?

Well it depends. It sounds like you are getting that error because some app want Always On Internet but leaving that unchecked increases battery life so it depends on how agreevating that notification is to you. That may not actually even be the problem but it does tell you it may cause some problems by leaving it unchecked.

I have also been getting this message "update disabled because of your network status" occasionally. Did you determine it was from having "always on mobile data" unchecked? I noticed mine was unchecked as well so I will check it and see what happens.
