Root update fail main version is older

I keep getting main version is older update fail when I push the file. any suggesstions?

i kept getting the same thing. im not sure if it was a coincidence or just took multiple runs of step 1,but after i restarted my computer step 1 worked. if you get all the way thru the files pushing and the phone boots itself into bootloader,the update should take. the first couple times i tried it my phone just sat there and i tried putting it into bootloader manually. both times doing it that way the update failed.

i kept an adb command window open the whole time i did it as well and before each step i made sure it was still seeing the phone. that might save some fustration as well.

This was the solution for me. I was getting the same error, downloaded both packages and nothing. Read this post and restarted my computer and viola. Success.
