Help Update failure. Help!

Every time my captivate tries to update, the screen goes all white and opens a status bar. Below it says "Preparing" after a while it says update failed and restarts.

I am rooted and I deleted some bloatware. Is there a way I can manually put the update in the system recovery? or something. How can I fix this problem?

i was just going to say that same thing....use Kies (v 1.5.3). It worked for me.
