Update force dowloading right now

2.11.605.9 CL202244 is now forcing itself upon my Thunderbolt. I hope Verizon/HTC don't and did not screw this up.It appears that with every update we lose something and of course gain good things and bad things. I just hope it is all good, this time. Anyone else??? I was hoping to be able to sit,watch,look, and listen upon the comments of those that chose to update, but with Verizon playing God, in a sense, I'm the guinea pig. Well itz done. Guess I'll check it out. Later for now Thunderbolt fam. Holla back. When U R graced with the ,I hope the latest and greatest. Should b Verizon kept a lid on this one. Hope it doesn't F with my Rezound battery. I'm just saying they seem to always have something up their sleeves.
 
My thoughts exactly, this latest update seems to be the best with there not being an exchange - one thing gets better, one gets worse type of thing. Hope this latest doesn't screw anything up
 
I have been wondering if there is a way, like in windows, to have the phone download the latest updates but not install them. As it stands now, i have to wipe the cache and reboot multiple times a day.
 
not sure if it will stop it from Downloading again or not,
but after it finishes downloading, do not install right away
go into the SD card and there should be a PG05IMG.zip file on the root of the card.
delete that file (or re-name it) as it is the OTA update.
 
I too dislike that it forces the update especially since I'm rooted but using root explorer there is a way to disable the update. It'll still download but it wont install.
