Help Update Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with Android 2.3.6

Hi,

I have this cellphone for almost a year and never really cared about updating or using it as much as I could.

The thing is that I want to update its OS and already tried with Kies Air. With no surprise to anybody, the damn thing just won't work.

Please, I'll appreciate some help updating my Galaxy Note to the latest firmware, if possible.

Use kies non air.

If you're talking about trying to connect the cellphone directly to the pc (without using Wi-Fi) to update the firmware, already tried and after updating the program it just doesn't recognize the cellphone when I connect it...

You mean you used regular Kies? Then I suggest try another computer.

Yes, I meant the pc program, not the one you start from the cellphone. I installed Kies on another computer (with updates and such) and still the pc doesn't do anything when I connect the cellphone.

Did you search for updates on the phone?

Yes, apparently it's "up to date" according to the phone system...
