Help Update not installing

I downloaded the OS update from the check for updates tab. But when I try to install, it gives me "Error cannot install. Get kies"
Anyone else facing this? Any solution?

Have you rooted the tab? Have you installed a custom ROM? Then the update can't work.

It is rooted, but no custom rom.

I'm having the same problem and I am stock. I don't own a computer either because this tablet is all I really need so I can't use kies

I installed Samsung kies for android on my pc. Then connected my note, then the update installed fine.
Now the update unrooted the device. So have to find a solution for that
