Update on the Official Phandroid Application

Cool I am so excited the Phandroid app was one of my first apps when I got the G1 back in November 2008. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I used to be right there with you. Upgraded from a D1 to a My Touch 4G (which has substantially more memory) and have no apps moved to SD where on my droid i had EVERY app that could be moved to SD and still got memory shortage messages all the time. Now ive only used 1/3 of my memory.

It has been a long five months since our first mention of the Phandroid App. We do apologize and greatly appreciate everyone's continued patience. With that said..

The Phandroid App - which includes support for the forum - has been in private beta for nearly two months now while we gather feedback from our staff and premium members.

I'm very excited to un-officially "announce" that the official Phandroid Application will hit the Android Market as public beta on Monday, December 13th. I don't want to spoil the fun so I won't give too much away, but I will say the following is included and fully functional:

Phandroid News - Read and comment on the news, widget included.
Android Forums - Near full usage, including the PM system with notifications.
Chat - our IRC chat room.

There is a bit more included and even more on the way. Keep an eye out for an official announcement on Monday.

YAY YAY YAY YAY!!! No more fighting with the website to load properly on the EVO!! I'm super excited, and will definitely be downloading it on Monday.
 
Does it comes with a free install of Froyo for all we Galaxy S users?

I have not had my Droid for very long and would like to know how to do a restore before i get the app on Monday. I would appreciate any advice that you are willing to offer!

Restore your phone you mean? You don't need to to use this app.

If by Droid, you mean the original Droid.. Go here...
