Help Update on Three UK

Hey guys. I got the multiwindow and new gallery update some time ago on Three UK but today I got a notification about a new update around 8 mb. I installed it but cannot yet figure out any new features or any improvements. Anyone know what the update changed/fixed?

thanks all. (it's still android 4.1.2)

Exynos security flaw probably. And new bootloader to make life harder for rooted users.

Update for mine on 3 UK also, kies says:

Current firmware version : PDA:LL4 / PHONE:LK2 / CSC:LL1 (H3G)
Latest firmware version : PDA:LLA / PHONE:LK2 / CSC:LL1 (H3G)

So its something i shouldnt worry about not having mate?
Thats me fully modded now.
Wasnt there an app made for that security threat?
I have that...

Exynos Abuse app will use the exploit and use it to achieve root. if it does, then you're affected. Its a good test and you can unroot afterwards I believe.

Im not bothered either. The kernel I run has addressed the exploit from a time before I even knew about it so I've been safe for ages.

I've been having this upgrade pushed OTA for a few weeks. I have resisted updating until I know what happens with Sky GO. (Last update killed Sky GO for months).

Can anyone who has installed this update put my mind at rest?

The update that broke sky go was jellybean because sky only supported icecream sandwich.

This update is still jellybean so *shouldn't* affect sky go.

Funky, the one linked in my sig

Thanks SU. you are probably right but to my admitedly poor memory, I had already updated to jb successfully and it was a second JB update from 4.1 to 4.1.1 that killed it. Now I am paranoid and switched auto update off untill I hear from someone running Sky GO using 4.1.2 which shows on kies as

PDA:LLA / PHONE:LK2 / CSC:LL1 (H3G).

Am I missing much by not updating at the moment?

The S3 went straight from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1... which would have broke it...

But not being a sky customer, I can't confirm it works now. You'd hope sky were on the ball enough but who knows?

From an android perspective, there's not a lot of difference between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Its only major version releases (4.0 to 4.1) that cause incompatibility issues
