Root Update PRL to 3018 with Rooted stock 2.2.1

Hi All,

Has anyone been able to update to the latest PRL 3018 by way of *228 option 5 after applying the 2.2.1 stock rooting method?

Strange thing I tried doing this on my wifes phone earlier tonight, then on mine to verify I get error message stating that service or number is not accessible from my calling plan.

On a similar related subject if I try dialing local numbers without the area code, 7 digit dialing I get an error message is that normal.
 
I always have to dial the area code before the actual 7 digit number. I think this is a normal thing with MetroPCS and like carriers.

*228 should work on your phone. I've tried that number on Verizon, Sprint, Boost, and MetroPCS (over the past couple years) and the number worked for all of them. Some automatically go to the update (Verizon), others have more menu options.

ya it worked again. dont know why it didnt, maybe operator error.
