Root Update received on a ROOTED Ally?

I received it on my Ally for some weird reason. Its running v0.4 Velocity on it. Should I install it or would that screw up my phone?

If you install it I believe you're going to have issues getting root and other issues trying to install a custom Froyo rom at a later date. There is a reason why there is a guide on how to install Froyo on the Ally stickied at the top of the forum.

will installing the update take away my velocity and root features? (i dont mind) or will it just screw up the phone overall?

The update will fail and you will not receive it again. If you want rooted froyo, you have to use the guide.
