Root Update/Root Help Please!

My phone is S-on but HTCdev unlocked. For some reason, I cannot run adb on my laptop because of the drivers not responding. That said, with the laptop I cannot get s-off. So, with this update out, I am not sure what I should do in order to get it on my phone. I cannot get s-off so I cannot use the posted files to flash via bootloader and I am unsure as to what I have to do in order to install the ota. Do I need my phone to be locked with stock recovery and rom in order to install it? If so, where do I put the file and go about installing it? Please help!

Seems like the simplest solution is to finish the s-off on a different computer. On your laptop did you install then un install htc sync? The driver issues seems to be hit or miss for some.

I suppose that will be the route I take. Yea I have uninstalled and installed htc sync many times and it continues to be a pain. I didn't realize I had to be completely stock or completely rooted to be able to update.
