Update Tab2 using another region's version?

Hi.

I am in the UK I have a Galaxy Tab 2. I have seen that 4.2.2 is now available for the Australian region.

Can I download this and update my UK Tab2 and instal (using Odin) with out any nasty effects?

OR... should I wait and hope that they release the UK version is available soon.

I wish I was still on 4.1.1. My 5113 ran much better. 4.2.2moves the notification b a r to the top of the screen but keeps the bottom bar for the navigation buttons. This makes an already narrow screen even narrower. It does not seem to run as smoothly either.

There seems to be problems with the 4.2.2 software. Some users report not being able to shut down. Others exactly the opposite, tablets rebooting constantly.
I'd stick with 4.1.1 for a while yet.

I got the update and installed manually, using ODIN. While the update is in english but I do not know where so I assume it is the USA one (my tab2 is Canadian)... as long as the update is specifically for your model (p5113 for example), it should work.
