Okay, so I updated my Vortex to 2.2.1. I did this because it isn't rooted (yet) and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Not much has changed, except the one feature I really liked...
Before the upgrade when I pulled down the top bar and could see the various icons across the top, the one on the far right (looks like a phone with a radio waves coming out) would turn on or off my 3G data. This was great for those of us not on an "all you can eat" data plan. It allowed me to only really use my phones features while on wifi. Since the upgrade though, that icon is replaced with an icon of an Airplane, which, of course, kills everything signal wise.
Anyone know of a good way to restrict/turn off 3G data usage on a non-rooted Vortex? I know Droidwall will allow me to limit data leakage, but that requires root. Suggestions?
