Update to 2.3.6?

OTA does not work here, as far as I know. As for timed out, there can be lots of reasons, from poor internet connection to overloaded servers. The best you can do is to make sure you use a broadband connection that is stable and fast. It should take close to 2 hours to get to 50% but will breeze through the rest in less than an hour. So make sure you have the time.

Also make sure your phone does not go to sleep. Or get an app/widget that can keep your screen on all the time.

Hi Folks,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Plus with android 2.3.4 as the default version. I tried to update the Firmware version to 2.3.6 through the "Software Update" option available in my phone, but that didn't happen. So I downloaded the Samsung Kies then updated the Kies to its latest version 2.2. But when I connect my phone and open the Kies it is not showing any update for my phone.

Can any one sugest what could be the solution for this ?

Different phone. This particular forum is for SGS2.

1) If Kies say you are on the latest, officially you are on the latest.
2) You can flash your own updates, but please look in the right place and not choose an update specific to SGS2.
3) Most of the issues is on 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 should have got all the major problems out of the way already.
