Help Update troubles

Hi

Ive had my s2 some 6months now and only managed to update it once, i try to update over the air, it downloads the package ok, restarts to phone, attempts to install, gets to about 50% then tells me to plug the phone into kies to update

I plug the phone into kies to update and it says theres no update, nor does it now even allow me to check for a update now kies updated itself

What can i do ?

Currently running 2.3.3, phone is unbranded

Does this have something to do with Samsung account? I got no news of updates until I signed into my Samsung account... Over the air went OK, but I went from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6, and it basically ruined my phone, because of some strange battery issue. A lot of people seem to complain about the 2.3.6 "wifi bug draining the battery".

Thanks, its working for any other updates? how do i log out of the account?

I just tried updating again and got to 14%
