Root Update?

Today I turned on my Amaze 3/12/13 and I have a notice for system update, Security and Personalize I am root with out S-Off, so will this update unroot my device, I basically use it for Tethering with out Having to pay T-mobile Bue Koo de niro (lots of money)?

There hasnt been an update for the amaze since like 3 months ago lol. But yes it would unroot your device, but it shouldnt relock the bootloader, soo you should be fine. Just root it again after with Hasoons toolkit.

I dont think its necessary but this is what was updated:
-Resolves the device restarting or slowing down unexpectedly
-Resolves problems calling 911 while on Wi-Fi Calling
-Improved text input and spell checking
-Improved menu structure

I have a replacement phone from T-Mobile that's not getting the update. I have the file. Just need to know where to rename it UPDATE.ZIP so i can install it on Recovery. Anyone?

i am pretty sure you put it into your download folder of sd card.
or it may be the cache partition.
