Help Updated, now it has issues! HELP

Hello, I updated my phone yesterday and I am not pleased at all.

I cannot get my notification ringtone to work. I have done everything, yes the volume is up and I am using an Android ringtone (not a downloaded one), so I have no clue when I get a text.

Also, my phone rings at random times but I have no phone call. What is up with that. I haven't had any phone calls that I know of, so I don't know if that works, but a few threads I read had problems with that too.

Are there any fixes for these problems??

There are no official fix for any of the issues you mention. Are you using the stock SMS app or are you using something like Handcent?
 
I think you would be best off taking it into a store and describing your issues to them. I'm thinking something happened with your update or something along those lines and they should be able to help you in-store. If it were me, I'd reflash back to 2.1 and start over. Seems to be the "catch all" for weird problems with the update.
