Update: I used ATK to kill all apps. Still gets message and gmail push. However, if I turned off background data, no notice will arrive, so I left that on. Hopefully it will not drain the battery too much.

Personally, I wouldn't use any of those Auto Task Killers because just like BH Man said before, almost all of them are just gimmicks. One program I do use is called Sleepy Battery which is an outstanding application. Look for it in the market.
 
Also, I'd recommend Spare Parts from the Marketplace.

Aside to adding a few extra settings to "tweak" you phone, it has a very handy Home Screen Widget that lets you turn WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, Background Data Syncing, and Auto Screen Brightness on and off (No more going through the Notification Bar or Settings)
 
After waiting months with no bug fix and seeing my phone not be updated yet again with 1.6 weeks after it was released I finally tried this method.

It took a bit of prodding... but it worked!

1.6 may not be 2.2 but at least My behold 2 now does everything I want it to aside from the program memory limitations. Thanks allot to those that made it possible, and Shame on T-mobile and Samsung for failing so horribly with support. I know I'll have second thoughts once my contract is up, and will be getting anything but a Samsung phone next time.
 
Odin is installing AMSS and kernel fine, but hangs up when installing system file. Any ideas? thanks:confused:

Edit: Disregard. Rebooted Computer and was able to flash 1.5 stock. Now moving on to 1.6
 
flashed to 1.5 from r12, worked fine.

When I go to flash the onepackage md5 it says to check image and wont let me continue? Any ideas?

Using win 7 x86

i flashed my bh II to stock 1.5 then to stock 1.6 and i still get the "no space to install this application" notification

what gives?!
 
oh nvm, i master reseted from settings

and it reboots into recovery mode with the "bh_man !" logo

adn when i press menu it wipes the fone clean

but when i check memory settings, it still shows 0 memory available.

and btw, yes i have also put it into recovery mode straight from being off

and i end up with the same result.

once again i flashed 1.5 then 1.6 stock

Does Odin give you any errors or prompts when you load a .tar.md5 file? What does it say under "Message" on the bottom left side after a flash finishes?
 
i load the .tar.md5 file under one package and get no error whatsoever

ill tellu what "message" says when i flash it, not with my fone atm

but strangely enough, bh man's galaxy 1.6 rom allows me to download apps just fine hmmm
 
I'm actually having the same issue as Ivan2893. Its showing that i have no memory on the phone.... Any clue what i can do? I've done the master reset.

I believe had a problem like this and I couldn't reinstall an app that I had installed prior to a rom update. If I remember right I ended up pushing the app to my phone /system/app folder. After that I was able to uninstall it from the App Manager and then reinstall it normally.
 
Sorry for the n00b question here. This is the first time I ever attempted to mod/flash a phone. I was just merely trying to gain root to remove the stupid default applications (Telenav, Diner Dash2, Midnight Bowling, Evernote).

I have the usb drivers working with Win7 64 bit Home. This I know because I can use adb to connect to the phone.

I seem to be most confused on the steps to add the root to the OTA 1.6 BH2.

I downloaded the 2shared - download Root-BH2-1.6.zip file and Odin

I take it from reading the other threads and comments this loads in the onepackage section. Is this correct? I have Behold2.ops Loaded in the ops section.

I also tried to follow the steps to enable the download mode on the BH2. This is taking me to the recovery mode. Is this correct? or did I miss something here? The steps I followed were posted here.

While in that mode, Odin does not see the phone, nor does windows.

-Also if Windows 7 64bit is a Issue I have Windows XP SP3 running on VMware if that may help

Thanks, I wound up figuring that out after I posted it, but Odin was still not seeing the phone.

I went into my xp VMware and got it to work after installing the drivers correctly.

I think this was mainly due to the fact of the driver signing not working right for Win7 Home. It just does not like the ADB device driver.

I altered the usb driver from the android sdk with the samsung ID string to make it work after every reboot with Win7. Thats what I was using to use adb with Win7.

So I got root and nuked those annoying apps and games that I will never use. :)
 
in 64bit you have to start windows while pressing f8 and disable driver signing every time.

So you modified driver worked and its signed?

It still does not show up as signed, but I do not lose the driver after reboots, nor do I have to go into F8 and force the system to allow unsigned drivers. It is only for the ADB driver that I had do this for.

Below is the the line I added to the android_winusb.inf file. I also attached screenshots of the driver in Win7 to show that this does worked. It is still a longer process when adding the driver to point it to the .inf file, but it works and that's all I care about

The steps would be Update Driver -> Browse Computer -> let me pick from list...-> Have Disc -> android_winusb.inf, then choose Android ADB Interface.

Right now I am running the Galaxy R12 release. If I go back to this, will I lose root? Would it be like perfect T-Mobile factory 1.6?

I need to send back my Behold Ii to T-mobile but right now i am running BH_MAN R12 .i need to go back to Factory 1.5 from T mobile.Please let me know how can i achieve this.
Please help its really urgent.
