Updated to 2.2 yesterday and had a buddy try and root my phone last night but we couldn't get it to work he has the same phone and he did his b4 the 2.2 update. So my question is how to root mine with 2.2? Thanks for any help you people my be.

The new Bionix V is KA7 and I went with the non Touch wiz I like the plain launcher or ADW. So far no problems, no lag (VooDoo lag fix built in) modem works good in my area.

Thanks for the links! However im having an issue with Titanium Backup and I hope someone can help me...

After rooting, and installing the modified recovery file (and before installing the modified recovery file), I cant get Titanium Backup to work. Superuser is showing its green, but everytime i open the app, Titanium says it cant get root rights (despite the seperate Superuser message that pops open on the bottom of the screen stating otherwise)

Anyone else have this issue?

hey vibrantx2 i did the root now what does the "recovery 3e modified" do im sorry im a noob im sure you can tell a friend of mine is the brains but he isn't available also any lag fixes or good roms that wont completely change the hole phone around?

It will fix clockwork recovery mod, the mini kies u/l of froyo 2.2 changes a signature file? and the 3e fix will bring the CWM back so you can flash any rom.
on other, the only stuff i've been working with is TW just look around over at XDA i'm sure i remember seeing some just lag fix stuff.

that file goes on your computer u then unzip it. Then

1. turn on USB debugging
2. plug into computer
3. run script and follow on screen prompts

ok so i did both things u told me to do and now im trying install Bionix V but i keep getting
finding update package...
opening update package...
installing update...
installation aborted.
any ideas?

When you open up Titanium Backup, go to the help button on the bottom right corner and download the version of BusyBox they provide. I had the same issue and that fixed it. Good luck!!
