Help Updated to 4.3. but lost Navigation?

I go the OTA update to 4.3 today, but lost the Navigation icon. If I go into Maps, I can still get to navigation, so it works, just no icon.

I went into play and "uninstalled" Maps and then updated it.. but still no blue triangle Navigation icon.

Also tried searching on just "Navigation" in the Play store, but it seems the app is really part of Maps and not something to update/download separate.

Anyone have an idea how to get it back?

Looks like the trick is to go into Play, uninstall Maps, open up maps... close maps, go back into Play and update Maps.. and then Navigation reappeared for me.

If I didn't open Maps in the middle of the process, the uninstall/update didn't fix it for me.

Man I had really high hopes that this would work for me but it didn't.
Are you rooted? (I'm not)

I'm going to guess that this is intentional, like they're integrating Navigation and Maps.
Though it seems like Maps still needs some work to get it up to speed.
I'm done worrying about this for now.

Same here after update but there's no turn by turn voice guidance and very few setting options, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

There was when I used it.
I think what may be causing confusion is that after putting in the destination there's an extra step to actually get turn by turn navigation. I can't recollect the steps I took to get it there but I'll check again on the way home from work today. It IS there though. To cancel the route there's also an on-screen "x" in the lower left-hand corner so you don't have to go through menu's to cancel the route.

What I miss the most was being able to see the road I'm driving on from a first person point of view even if I DIDN'T put in a destination.

Aha,after going out in my van earlier, indeed there was turn by turn but using my phone as a stand alone sat nav it was too quiet to hear the instructions. When i lifted the phone closer to my ear and did manage to hear them, they gave the next road name or number but as i don't know any of the names or numbers it was very basic.
I miss Nokia maps, navigation, the best When are Nokia making an android handset ????????????????
