Root Updates once rooted & connnection problems

OK I'm all rooted but now I'm getting the airplane mode update. Do I install that update? Also, everytime I start tethering, I lose connection on my phone. Can anyone help me?

I am having the same issue and do not want to run the update if it will fowl my current rooting of the phone. However it does pop up often, and can be annoying.

the update should work just fine, even if you are rooted. and if you are wireless tethering, you need to underclock while the app is open.

The update will only install first part of D106 and change your baseband to D106.
It's a 2 step process. If you are using custom recovery it will reboot phone and error out. My hubby is using it like this and doesn't have a update pop-up now without second part of update.
He is getting Evo tomorrow so doesn't care anymore. Me on the otherhand, I redid my whole phone to complete D106 fix and Radioactive Froyo v.1.9.2. Check out SDX forums for more.
