Root Updating a new rom

I want to update the CM7 TG-Reloaded 1-26 to the latest version, the 2-2. Do I have to delete the cache and dalvik-cache or wipe my phone to install it or do I just install without deleting them? Thank you once again devs. :)

You don't have to wipe or wipe caches although its better if you wipe the caches, it won't delete any app data and it can prevent future problems. So in short just wipe caches.

I have another question about installing a new rom, same scenario as the OP.

Do we need to install the google apps again after installing the new rom? And do we need to backup all the apps we want to keep with something like titanium backup or will the new rom have the apps saved?

Thanks in advance!

All your apps are stored on the /data partition. Wiping the caches doesn't touch them, so you don't need to worry about titanium backup unless you are doing a full wipe and major upgrade. But it is always a good idea to do a nandroid backup just in case.

You don't need to flash gapps again. Like Nate said, wiping the caches won't affect apps.
