Help Updating currents apps

Hello everyone, whenever I go into the Market and go to "My apps" and try to update apps marked with an orange "Update", an error message comes up that says "Update unsuccessful." When I tap it, it says "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card." What does that mean??? How can I fix this problem? I currently have 5 apps in need of an update, yet they're all giving me the same error message.

I suppose it means that you don't have enough space for these updates. I've had similar issues in the past with updating programs and I didn't have any free space, and removing some programs to free up space allowed me to update these other programs.
 
Hey guys, sorry for the late response.

I have ... plentyyyy of space on the internal memory. 120 MB. 4.1 gb on SD. Those apps are all installed on the SD card.

I unmounted and mounted the card, nothing. I'm gonna try pulling it out of the phone and putting it back in. I'll let you know what happens.
 
Alright just took out the SD card and put it back in, and still giving the same error. Not sure what the problem is :( Is this a common problem??
 
I would dump all your apps, reboot your EVO, then install them again. That doesn't work sounds like factory reset time. Its odd you have a USB/SD card message popping up. Are you trying to update with the phone plugged into a computer, over WiFi, or using 3G?
 
I have never encountered this problem until factory restore. I started installing my old apps back and to my surprise, it won't install on SD card, giving me the same error dialog box. I unmounted and mounted the SD, I rebooted my phone (it does that on its own anyway, it was the reason for factory restore). I never connect my phone to the pc, so I don't need a "disconnect phone from USB" advice.
I'm all out of solutions, please help.
